“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17 ESV
Not every act of worship looks like singing on a stage or kneeling in a quiet room. Sometimes, worship looks like making coffee for your family. Or folding laundry with a heart of gratitude. Or showing kindness to someone who didn’t deserve it.
Colossians 3:17 reminds us that whatever we do — every word, every action — can be done in the name of Jesus. That means worship isn’t just something we do at church. It’s something we live every day.
When you work with integrity, when you speak with love, when you forgive, when you stay patient — even when it’s hard — those things matter to God. That’s worship. It’s not flashy or loud, but it’s holy.
And here’s the beautiful thing: God isn’t looking for performance. He’s looking for presence. He’s looking for hearts that say, “God, even in this — I want to honor You.”
Maybe no one sees the way you serve behind the scenes. Maybe the things you’re doing feel small or repetitive. But God sees. He values the worship that happens in secret, in the ordinary, in the quiet moments when no one’s watching.
You don’t need a spotlight to worship — you just need to live with intention. With love. With surrender.
So today, as you go about your schedule, remember: worship doesn’t have to be big to be real. Invite Jesus into the details. He’s already there — and He delights in a heart that says, “Even in this, Lord, I worship You.”
